NGC4631 in Canes Venatici
| NGC4631 is a large edge on spiral galaxy. This galaxy is interacting with
a nearby galaxy, NGC4627 (the small smudge left of center). According
to the NGC, this is a most remarkable object. I concur. This galaxy, although
very large, is often overlooked in many observing programs. The view of this
through a telescope is nothing short of extraordinary! |
