14" SCT, ST7 camera. 25 one minute exposures for the luminance layer.? 8 one minute exposures through RGB filters.
My attempt in this photograph was to reveal the detail near the core of this beautiful spiral.? Most photos that I have seen may show the extended spiral arms but the core detail is missing.? Notice the reddish patches indicating emission nebulae.? The extended spiral arms are still visible as they swirl towards the edge of the picture.
