M76 - The Little Dumbell Nebula

The little dumb bell nebula is located in the constellation of Perseus.  It reminds us somewhat of its larger "brother" M27 in Vulpecula in the telescope.  It is fairly bright to look at compared to many planetary nebulae, but definition is extremely difficult to discern even in good photographs.
Here we see some internal structure to the nebula. Although fairly easy to see in amateur telescopes with moderate aperture this little guy is very difficult to photograph!  This shot was created with a 5 minute no bin luminance layer combined with 5 minute 3 bin color layers using an ST7 camera.  C11 at F6.3
